Global Fashion 4 Development (GF4D) is a non-profit organization working in support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals of eradicating poverty, ensuring gender equality and promoting sustainable development.
Global Fashion For Development (GF4D) harnesses the power of fashion to take on the pressing issues of our time: poverty, gender inequality, and threats to environmental sustainability. Fashion is so much more than just an industry–It is a way of life. Every day, millions of people are linked with fashion in some way: from workers in the garment industry, to businesses, to consumers, and beyond. By uniting industry leaders, individuals, and organizations, GF4D uses this platform to promote education, enhance social inclusion, and create sustainable jobs in the global South.
Since its founding in 2011, GF4D has launched several initiatives in line with its vision to improve lives in the developing world through fashion. These initiatives include the Global Fashion 4 Development Scholarship Program, the Charity International Fashion Fair, the Giving Back Bazaar, and the Global Fashion 4 Development Awards. To date, GF4D has awarded scholarships to future leaders in Ghana, Zambia, Indonesia, Mexico, and more.
GF4D holds events globally, spreading its vision and initiatives to promote sustainable development across the globe. From awards shows to fundraisers and more, GF4D’s events help raise awareness about our work and provide opportunities for others to join our cause, all while presenting an exciting, jubilant atmosphere in which fashion is celebrated. As a non-profit that is passionate about both humanitarian work and fashion, GF4D knows how to make a statement.
